In my marketing roles, I always aim to craft compelling narratives that bring a brand's story to life. As Marketing Assistant for People of Substance, a clean body care brand focused on preserving tattoos, I executed a documentary-style series featuring interviews with inked strangers around New York City. I wanted to capture real people with tattoos and showcase how their body art serves as a form of self-expression, creativity, and storytelling — something that should be cared for and preserved. This project strongly aligned with People of Substance’s mission to de-stigmatize tattoos and celebrate them, while also nearly tripling engagement for the brand’s Instagram account.
